April
immigrated to the United States at the precious
age of three from the Philippines. She was quickly
Americanized while growing up in the South Bay
with her family which includes one Super-Duper
Wonder Mom, Felicidad, a loving and supportive
father, Fernando, two awesome younger sisters,
Desiree and Angel who both share the title and
take pride as ‘Miss Independent Woman’, and numerous
half and step brothers and sisters. Milpitas is
her hometown which had absolutely nothing to do
except be a mall-rat at the Great Mall. One day
in high school, while flipping burgers at In &
Out, she was suddenly enlightened with the thought
that she needed to be doing something more with
her life. She felt she had a purpose, a calling
to do something great, to go somewhere where she
can be all that she can be. So, at the precious
age of 18, she joined the U.S. Army.
During
her four years of Active Duty, she traveled to
the far off galaxies of Alabama, Louisiana, Texas,
Mississippi, Florida, N. Carolina, Maryland and
S. Korea. She returned home in 2003 just in time
before the Iraqi War erupted. April is very grateful
and fortunate for this stroke of luck because
she was able to finish two years of college and
establish a career for herself at CitiScape as
the On-Site Property Manager at Potrero Court.
Going on
her tenth year of serving her country, she still
works part-time with the U.S. Army National Guard
as a weekend warrior. April loves every and any
sport that doesn’t involve water, but her favorite
right now is the Mixed Martial Art of Sanshou
(Chinese Kickboxing). She is now living happily
with her beautiful partner, Emmalou, and adorable
three year old son, Jaden, in the greatest city
on Earth, San Francisco.
