Craig M. Pittman was born Craig Nathaniel Meredith on May 28th 1976 in Yuba City CA, the product of twinkle in his father’s eye (Craig Meredith) and glow in his mother’s cheeks (Sylvian Banks). Trials and tribulations occurred and Craig moved to San Francisco when he was five to live with his little sister Danielle and their new mother, Helen Pittman and her mother, Lula Bell Cross, in the Richmond District. There, he attended the Catholic school, St. Thomas the Apostle for 8 years, where he met the pope and the archbishop and wasn’t much impressed. The pope had a very nifty and very heavy hat which he had the honor of carrying. After slacking off at school and barely graduating, he then attended Saint Ignatius Preparatory School for a summer, until he decided Catholic school wasn’t for him. Off Craig went to George Washington High School, whose esteemed alumni include the Pine-Sol lady. There he was on the debate team, the swimming team and the football team until a knee injury sidelined his career, (It’s hard to do debate on crutches!!). At 14, Craig left home, to prospect gold in the mountains….well that’s not entirely true, and he never did find any gold. After slacking off in school…again, Craig held several odd jobs, from painting, to life guarding, to ditch digging, all of which were great fun. Meanwhile, he also earned the title, Life Scout in the Boy Scouts and then promptly quit. Now free from high school, Craig pursued his many passions in life, most which revolved around Hip-Hop. He became an accomplished graffiti artist, learned how to break dance and then settled on being a DJ. After several years of raves and late nights, he settled down and took a job copying massive stacks of unimportant documents. There he remains, listening to music and killing trees. In the interim, he fixed his credit score and then destroyed it again after earning an AA in Business. Today he is currently writing a bio for his job and lives in the wonderful neighborhood of the Tender Loin and is accompanied on his journeys by his girlfriend Regina.
