Growing up in the Philippines, I was fed with
a silver spoon. My family ran a variety of businesses
such as general contracting, an automotive shop,
a salon, a bar, etc. So, anything I wanted,
I got it. I was basically a spoiled little princess.
As I got older, I felt the urge to work hard
for what I wanted and to become an independent
woman. At age 23, I made plans to achieve the
American Dream. So, in 2003, I immigrated to
the land of the free and the home of the brave,
the United States of America. (I just got my
U.S. Citizenship)
Attending an all-girl
Catholic School for my whole entire schooling
didn’t help much except turn me into a rebellious
punk rocker. Well, it did help me, in a way,
because I became the lead singer in my own all-girls
rock band, and we’d perform gigs and “rock-out”
in several bars and also concert halls. In college,
Accounting was my major, but after two years,
my passion for music re-directed my education
plan. My college degree is in Guitar, but I’ve
come to realize that I have a better future
here in the U.S. in the Accounting field rather
than trying out for American Idol. I’ve finally
had a chance to settle down in a stable residence,
here in San Francisco and I am pursuing my Accounting
degree, yet again at CCSF.
For fun, I’m a hardcore
competitor on Guitar Hero and Rockband. My only
competition is my 4 y/o genius of a son, Jaden.
My partner, April, thinks she does, but she
doesn’t stand a chance. My favorite rock bands
are Metallica, Rage Against The Machine, and
Alice In Chains. I love stealing the mic at
Karaoke bars. At home, I have a museum full
of collectibles from Hello Kitty. I enjoy long
baths, massages and peach-mango pie from Jollibee’s.
I have been recently
added to CitiScape this year, 2008, to the awesome
Accounting Department. I am very grateful that
CitiScape chose me to join their Accounting
team as Jr. Property Accountant. I love the
environment I work in because I can work to
my full potential and everyone strives to work
as a team to provide the best service.
